About Us

SBfamilies.com was founded out of frustration in not knowing what was available and where to go for childcare, healthcare, mom groups, baby equipment, etc. As a brand new mother, I probably spent 5-10 hours a week calling local businesses out of the phone book for more information. Between work, diapering, playtime, preparing meals and cleaning, it's really hard to make calls during business hours. A light-bulb went off…SBfamilies.com was born.

The purpose of the site is to make life easier for families. SBfamilies.com centralizes local resources and allows you to go to one place, anytime, to find what you need for your kids.

I am a Shreveport-Bossier native and live here with my husband, Gabe, and daughters, Soren and Caya. Prior to becoming a mother, my work experience included public relations, marketing and management for statewide nonprofit organizations. 

What started out as a simple idea to centralize resources in my hometown has grown into a business that combines my work experience, my education and my hands on experience as a mom.
