Movies & Moonbeams Outdoor Cinema presents a free, outdoor screening of the classic musical "Grease" in River View Park in downtown Shreveport August 1st. Admission is free ($1 donation requested). Film begins at nightfall.
The Gardens are open seven days a week, April 1st through October 31st. Visitors can see over 42 acres of roses including our "What's New" garden, featuring the nation's newest rose varieties, our "All-America Rose Selections" garden, featuring nationally-tested, award-winning roses, our Miniature Rose garden, among our most popular gardens, and our "Single Petaled Roses" garden, a must-see display of exotic and colorful blooms.

First Saturday Tours are available for anyone interested in touring the museum. These specially scheduled tours are open to the public and a reservation is not required, although groups of 10 or more are asked to call ahead so preparations may be made to accommodate the group on these particular tours.
All tours, like admission to the Gallery, are free to the public.
Shreveport's Farmers' Market provides a place for farmers and craft vendors to come and sell various types of fruits, vegetables and homemade products. You'll find local produce, herbs, plants and fresh cut flowers, canned goods, honey, and baked goods.

The Bossier City Chicks With Sticks Knitting Group meets at Somethin's Brew'n every Saturday at 2:00. Please come and join in the fun! Some of us bring our kids but still enjoy the company of other adults!

All walk proceeds will be used by Junior Achievement to support JA programs in the Shreveport-Bossier City schools. Our mission - To inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy and ensure that every child has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system.
Walk starts and finishes at the Louisiana Wildlife Carousel. Enjoy a scenic view along the Red River. Cool-off points will be stationed along the "half moon" pavilions of the river views.
Kids Do-it-Yourself Workshops are the first Saturday of each month at all locations.
The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.
In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.
