Preparation
Combine eggs, milk, half n half, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a bowl and blend with a whisk.
Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
Slice bread into 1 inch slices.
Dip each slice in the egg mixture.
Put bread in a single layer in baking dish. (pack in tightly)
Pour the remaining mixture over the bread.
Cover and refridgerate overnight.
The next morning:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Combine praline ingredients in a bowl.
Pull out of oven & crumble praline mixture on top.
Cook for 10-15 more minutes.
(optional: before you put on the praline topping, you can also turn over all the bread slices so it is a little more cooked on each side and then put praline mix on top)
My kids LOVE this recipe and you can even do before school as long as you get it in the oven early enough.
