Gymboree Play & Music offers a progression of developmentally appropriate play, music and art classes for children and their parents. There are even classes for the entire family.
Programs are divided into 7 levels for ages 0-5 years old. There are parent-child classes for all little ones: newborns - five.
Designed by child development experts, Gymboree Play & Music offers seven levels that focus on and support the specific developmental milestone your child is working on at his/her age--from sensory explorations for young babies to cause and effect, two-way communication, "motor planning", imaginary play, to early listening and language skills. Each program level incorporates fundamental, engaging activities that help to build your child's cognitive, social and physical skills.
Sci-Port Discovery Center provides a fun, educational environment for people of all ages to explore and actively engage in the world of mathematics, science and technology. Sci-Port serves to spark curiosity about the world around us, provides hands-on tools for using scientific discovery in everyday life, and encourages a passion for life-long learning.
THE CENTER
Sci-Port is a 92,000 square-foot science and entertainment center in Shreveport-Bossier, featuring over 290 science, space science, technology and math exhibits; daily changing programs, an IMAX Dome Theatre, open-access, interactive, laser SPACE DOME Planetarium, gift shop and café. Sci-Port is located on the downtown Shreveport Riverfront.
4 Shreveport is a membership nonprofit organization created to encourage young working adults and businesses to be philanthropists in ways they can have fun, make new friends and learn more about the many deserving non profit organizations in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Together, with a chosen charity each year, 4 Shreveport will put on four fundraising events.
These events are conducive to busy schedules and are family oriented. The goal is to make this organization "grow up" with its members. The name 4 Shreveport signifies that all four events will benefit the Shreveport-Bossier community. It also refers to the organization icon, the four-leaf clover. The clover is a symbol for Ireland and St. Patrick's Day, and stands of Hope, Faith, Love and Luck, four things we know everyone can use.
