 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The count down is on...Halloween is only 12 days away.  I am still contemplating the perfect costume. Halloween always sneaks up on me, and then, the next thing I know it's Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. And this year, Mardi Gras season is very early.

SBfamilies.com will do its best to keep you posted about community events and resources for the coming holidays.

HALLOWEEN HISTORY

Halloween's roots can be traced back to Celtic culture in Ireland, and the "Druid" religion. The celebration would begin on October 31st, and last into the following day. The spirits of all who died in the prior year, would rise up and roam the earth on this night. This is an evil night when spirits roamed the streets and villages.

Why was the skeleton afraid to cross the road?
 It had no guts...

No, they eat the fingers separately...

Because they don't have any body to go out with...

What do ghosts add to their morning cereal?
 Booberries...

What did one ghost say to the other ghost?
 "Do you believe in people?"

What do you call someone who puts poison in a person's corn flakes?
A cereal killer...

Why do mummies have trouble keeping friends?
They're too wrapped up in themselves...
